This Intro. to Sewing class will teach students the basics of sewing and lay the foundation for all future projects. Students will make a tote bag from a pattern. There is no experience necessary and sewing machines are provided.

This class is for the absolute beginner, or those looking for a refresher course. You will learn the basics of sewing including, pattern reading, pinning, cutting, handling fabric and the basic terminology of sewing.

Saturday sewing classes are a good time to learn or practice sewing. Kids 7 and up are welcome. In this morning session, we will make a variety of small, seasonal projects including stuffed animals, housewares and bags. Let's get together for some fun afternoons of sewing. Girls will have choice in their projects, so if they have a project in mind, please let me know. I thought we would start with a pair of shorts, lounge pants or a skirt then we can make some seasonal, or religious projects.
